My 34 1/2# Puggle got into the bag and ate about s dozen. Any problem with that? And should I wait a couple of days to start back up? He gets 1 1/2 a day
Andrew –
Is this product approved for pregnant dogs?
NaturVet –
Hi Andrew. Thank you for your product question. We do not recommend you give the GrassSaver to a pregnant dog.
kim –
Can my dog have these if she is currently taking medication. Rimadyl and gabapentin daily. Pls reply.
Thanks
NaturVet –
Hi Kim. Thank you for your product question. Since your dog is on prescription medications, we suggest you take the GrassSaver information to your veterinarian to make a determination whether the GrassSaver can be fed in conjunction with the medications you mentioned.
Evelyn A. –
The directions say for a 51 to 80 lbs dog to give 4 wafers. But do you give all at once or space them out through out the day? And then I say online that it says to double the dose for the first 2 weeks. Does that mean I’m giving 8 wafers now?? I’m so confused. I need better directions please.
NaturVet –
Hi Evelyn. Thank you for your product questions. You can feed all the tablets at one time or if your dog has a sensitive stomach, you can feed 1/2 of the recommend dose in the am and the other half in the pm. We do recommend you double the dose when using the tablets, but not the wafers.
Lindsey McCrory –
How long does it take to see results???
NaturVet –
Hi Lindsey. Thank you for your GrassSaver question. It may take up to two weeks to notice a reduction in the yellow spots on your grass. If you have been using GrassSaver for two weeks and not noticed a difference, please call our Customer Service Team, 888-628-8783, for suggestions on adjusting the dosage.
Lynette –
I’ve used this for a long time and stopped and I’m restarting I have two very large dogs one is 180 the other one is 8 months and 110 do you recommend just five wafers or giving them more
NaturVet (store manager) –
Hi Lynette,
The dosage for dogs 80 lbs. and over is 7 tablets per day. You can break those up between AM and PM feedings.
Julie –
My dog is 60 pounds so 5-6 pills per day but doubling it the first 2 weeks means 10-12 pills per day. Another answer you left in this feed says you don’t recommend more than 7 pills per day. So should I feed my dog 7 or 10 pills per day at first?
NaturVet (store manager) –
Hi Julie,
With the GrassSaver tablets, we do recommend to double the dosage the first 2 weeks for best results.
David –
I started using Grass Saver Chewable Wafers for my dog a few days ago. Will we see the positive effect within two weeks? Is this then something my dog will need to take on an ongoing basis forever to prevent the yellow spots? Thank you. I am really looking forward to having my beautiful lawn back.
NaturVet (store manager) –
Hi David,
You should see fewer yellow spots in your grass within 2 weeks. You would need to continue these supplements to keep your pups urine from burning the grass.
David –
It’s been three weeks now of giving three of the Grass Saver Wafers to my 24 lb dog and I still am getting one to two new yellow spots in the lawn per day. Any suggestions? I am at my wits end with now awful my lawn looks.
