  1. Hi Jerry. Thank you for your product question. Generally the grass under snow goes dormant and should return to it’s previous condition before the snow once it has melted. If not, and the yellow spots do not turn green, please let us know.

  2. When is the best time of the day to give our dog the biscuits. We give them to her around 8 or 9 PM at night. We’ve only been giving them to her about a week. Is this ok? or should it be in the morning?

  3. I have been giving my 60 lb part Labrador & Terrior mix 2 biscuits per dat for over a year now. I am getting brown spots on my lawn. Whyarethebiscuits not working?

  8. Hi Leonard. Because this product is a nutraceutical, dosing is most often just a guideline and usually works at that level. We always start with a typical dosing but put our phone number on the product container in case a customer has a question or the product is not working. We often find that dogs over 50 lb. may sometimes need to be dosed at a higher level. The maximum dosing is seven tablets, wafers, biscuits or soft chews.

GrassSaver works to adjust the pH of the urine so it won’t burn the lawn. We found that the majority of dogs, 98 percent, burn the lawn because their urine is too alkaline. This can be attributed to poor nutrition, poor water, medications, and a toxic environment. The normal urine of a dog should be between 6.6 and 7 on the pH scale. In the case of GrassSaver, if a dog’s urine was slightly above 7, alkaline, and you give too much GrassSaver, the urine could read below 6.5, acidic, and would also burn the grass. If you would like to get an accurate reading, you can purchase pH strips at your local health food store. You just catch a few drops of urine on the strip to get a reading.

The active ingredients that changes the pH is dl-methionine. It is an essential amino acid which means the dog cannot make it in its body and it must come from an outside source. For canines it would be found in the meat they would consume. Unfortunately during the processing of commercial pet food, it is destroyed and some food manufacturers add it into the commercial food to provide balance. In commercial foods containing lots of grains and fillers, meat as an ingredient is diminished so the dog is receiving less dl-methionine if any at all. This is another reason dosages sometimes need to be adjusted because we never know how much dl methionine a dog is receiving in its diet.

  9. Hello
I have just started using biscuits. Today is day one as the lady at the pet store told me people buy this productive repeatedly so I want to give it a try. I used the rocks and unfortunately they did not work for my dog but I have heard from other people they worked for theirs. I think I’m defence of any product, all dogs are different so what works for one may not work for another. Fingers crossed I’ll keep you posted
