(1) One SKB unit is defined as the amount of enzyme needed to form 10 mg of reducing sugars from 1% soluble starch solution at pH 5.0 and 40 °C in 30 minutes. (2) One FCC Lipase Unit (LU) is defined as that quantity of enzyme that will liberate the equivalent of one μmol of acid (H+) per minute from the substrate, under the conditions of the assay. The assay is based on a five-minute hydrolysis of an olive oil substrate at pH 6.5 and 30 °C. The fatty acids released on hydrolysis of the glycerol esters are determined by titration with sodium hydroxide. (3) One carboxymethyl cellulose unit (CMCU) is that amount of enzyme which liberates one micromole of reducing sugar (expressed as glucose equivalents) in one minute under the conditions of the assay. (4) The activity of papain is measured in the FCC PU; the assay of which is based on the hydrolysis of casein. This assay is based on a 60-minute proteolytic hydrolysis of a casein substrate at pH 6.0 and 40 °C. One PU (Papain Unit) is defined as that quantity of enzyme that liberates the equivalent of 1μg of tyrosine per hour under the conditions of the assay.

Great product

I have been using this product for many years I have rescue cats and whenever I adopt another now I have 7 they usually get digestive upset going from shelter food to the organic food I provide they eat fast and throw it up
I find this product very helpful for digestion and proper bowel movements
I use it 2x a day in their wet food
The pet store I go to is an organic store where I have been purchasing this product for years however it has been 2 months since they have been able to get it and I hope it has not been discontinued
I would never want to be without it

Hi Patricia,
This product has not been discontinued and we're happy to hear this continues to help your rescue cats! We will be in touch regarding the organic store you shop at not having this product in stock.

Hello, May i know the storage condition of the probiotics?

Store in cool and dry place or need to store in fridge?
Will the probiotics become inactive if i place it at normal temperature for a long time?
Thank you

Hi Alice,
Just store in a cool, dry place. Refrigeration is not needed. For best results use the product before the 'Best Buy' date on the container.

May I know if I could feed my pup both the digestive enzymes plus probiotics + aller-911 pills? If so, in what doses?

Hi Alicia,
You can give both supplements at the same time. You can email us at naturvet@naturvet.com for specific dosing information as our products are dosed by weight.

Sometimes, in the answers above, you say 1/4 tsp per cup of food and sometimes you say 1/4 tsp per meal. Why are you giving different answers to different people? The label says per meal not per cup.

The dosing is per meal. We’ve changed our labels to make the dosing clearer for our customers.
